The mission of The International School at Dundee (ISD) is to lead students toward becoming life-long learners and responsible citizens of the world. To this end, we teach, model, reinforce, and reward the achievements of academic and social/emotional goals that will result in students becoming: Inquirers, Thinkers, Communicators, Risk-Takers, Knowledgeable, Principled, Caring, Open-Minded, Balanced, and Reflective.

In 2000, ISD became the first magnet school in the Greenwich Public School system. ISD was also the first school in New England to become an accredited International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP) school in 2003. The number of IB schools continues to rise globally, due to its inquiry-based learning program, and focus on developing the whole child.

An active school PTA provides popular family events such as: Skate Nights, Movie Nights, and Ice Cream Socials. The ISD PTA provides curriculum enrichment, including cultural partnerships at each grade level, Math and Science nights, Science enrichment programs, Classical Cafe, technology purchases, author visits, and more.
