Skills
The PYP identifies a body of knowledge for all students in all cultures, in six subject areas or disciplines: language, social studies, mathematics, science and technology, the arts, and personal, social and physical education.
These disciplines are not taught in isolation or even in combination, but instead they are integrated into holistic units that address several disciplines or content areas simultaneously, while also going beyond to address the commonalities of our global family.
Students are required to learn a second language in addition to the language of instruction of the school. Language instruction is also integrated with other disciplines. The language teacher travels from class to class daily and delivers curriculum content in the second language.
